The Problem
A customer was meeting with Diversified Air Systems, an MCE company, for a routine visit to gather preventative maintenance information for an agreement. During the visit, the team discovered that their compressor was using a significant amount of energy. The compressor was very old and inefficient. The compressor wasn’t providing the best results but had not replaced it due to cost concerns.
The company had also recently ordered a new X-ray machine but had no designated space for it, which was causing potential redesign issues for the shop's walkways.
The Solution
Recognizing an opportunity to address both issues, Dan Miller at Diversified Air proposed a solution. Dan informed the customer that the energy savings from purchasing a new compressor would outweigh the initial cost. Working with team member Paul Milam, he showcased the cost savings that a new compressor would provide over time.
To make space for the X-ray machine, Dan suggested the company consider an AWA (All Weather Air) outdoor air compressor unit.
The Value
The company was impressed with the product offerings and invested in a new compressor and an AWA system. With these solutions, the customer met the immediate need for energy efficiency and resolved the space issue for the new X-ray machine, maximizing the shop’s overall functionality and layout.
