RitterTech

75 Years of Fluid Power Expertise

The history of Motion & Control Enterprises dates back to 1951, when Wayne G. Ritter founded Ritter Engineering Company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Over the following decades, the business grew into a multi-state industrial distributor serving fluid power and industrial lubrication customers throughout the Great Lakes region.

Over the decades, Ritter built its business around Parker Hannifin motion and control systems, Graco industrial lubrication equipment, Enerpac high-pressure power tools, and other fluid power and lubrication products. In 2000, Ritter Engineering became Ritter Technology, LLC, reflecting the company’s broader capabilities and continued growth.

Following a series of acquisitions in 2017, Ritter Technology changed its name to Motion & Control Enterprises LLC (MCE), reflecting the company’s expanded market focus. The core Ritter business was renamed RitterTech in its existing markets to retain the Ritter name and brand equity.

Today, Ritter’s 75-year history continues through Motion & Control Enterprises and its expanded range of fluid power products, services, technical expertise, and customer support.
