Ritter Technology, LLC legally changed its name on August 8, 2017 to Motion & Control Enterprises LLC (MCE). This was simply a name change and this change did not affect Tax Identification numbers provided previously or the legal structure of the company.
The W-9 attached to this page accurately reflects the MCE name as required by the IRS regulations. Because MCE is an Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) that is owned by another LLC (a disregarded entity as defined by the IRS), the IRS requires us to list our parent company name as the Primary Name and its Federal Tax ID number on our W-9. This naming affects only the reporting on Form 1099 as required by IRS Regulations. FORM 1099 issued to MCE should be sent to 100 Williams Drive, Zelienople, PA 16063
All customers that issue payments to Motion & Control Enterprises (or to any of our divisions) are required to issue IRS FORM 1099 under our parent company’s name, FPR Investments, LLC at the address shown on the W-9. All payments to MCE, Ritter Technology or any division of Ritter Technology (Primet Fluid Power, Tri-State Hose & Fitting or Fluid Systems Engineering) should be added together when making this filing in 2017 since we collectively are one single legal entity. Payments made by MCE customers to Primet Fluid Power, Tri-State Hose & Fitting or Fluid Systems Engineering should be sent directly to their location address listed on the original sales invoice for proper posting of the payment.
Motion & Control Enterprises LLC still has a separate taxpayer identification number that is used for titling of bank accounts and tangible assets, payroll and related employment taxes and sales/use/excise taxes.
